What Does the Dodge Ram Big Horn Package Include?
The Dodge Ram Big Horn package includes several interior upgrades, cosmetic appointments and dual exhausts. All Big Horn packages include 20-inch aluminum wheels, fog lamps and halogen quad headlamps. The Big Horn package has two variants for Quad Cab and Ram Crew SRT models. The Big Horn Quad Cab package features more interior room, more luxurious appointments and improved performance over the Ram Crew SRT package.
The Dodge Ram Big Horn package includes a number of unique cosmetic appointments. Both package options feature interior and exterior Big Horn badging. A characteristic aesthetic feature of the package is the forward-leaning chrome grille that improves aerodynamic performance.
Aside from minor cosmetic variations, the main difference between the Quad Cab and Ram Crew SRT Big Horn packages is engine size. The Ram Crew SRT package features a 4.7-liter single overhead cam V8 engine, the same engine included with standard Dodge Ram models. The Quad Cab package features a more powerful 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. The HEMI engine features Mopar’s proprietary Multi-Displacement System that improves fuel economy by deactivating four of the engine’s eight cylinders during cruising.
In most of the United States, the Dodge Ram Big Horn package uses the same badging and features across state lines. In Texas, however, Dodge dealers offer the same features under the Lone Star package name. Lone Star Dodge Ram packages feature the same performance and cosmetic features as Big Horn packages, but include unique Texas-inspired badging.
