What Is DISA ATAAPS?

DISA ATAAPS is Defense Information Systems Agency Automated Time Attendance and Production System. It provides a mechanism for government agencies to properly document time, attendance and labor metrics across job orders.

The ATAAPS system is a software application that is hosted by DISA, with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service as the vendor. It is a Web-based data entry system that is deployed as an integral platform for a wide array of federal government agencies to manage payroll systems and transition records electronically to the Defense Civilian Payroll System. It applies to five types of users, including employees, timekeepers, certifiers, system administrators and super users, and tracks time related to job and order tasks, such as leave, overtime and comp time.

The primary benefit is the accurate recording and storage of attendance information on an infrastructure that provides secure public key infrastructure/public key enabled access to ATAAPS, complies with personally identifiable information and privacy information assessment standards, and helps to reduce costs by eradicating unneeded administration and more efficiently aligning resources. ATAAPS comes with a full range of service desk support, including application support, service support to mission partners, and several tiers of service desk support to assist with technical related issues.
