Digital design is the branch of graphic design that uses computers, graphics tablets and other electronic devices to create graphics and designs for the Web, television, print and portable electronic devices.
Digital designers use software programs like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Muse, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe InDesign to create pixel-based images. Pixel-based images are graphics and photographs made up of the tiny red, green and blue dots, known as pixels, that comprise the screens of computer monitors and other electronic devices. Digital design is also used to create prototypes of products, such as houses, consumer goods and airliners.
