Regis Philbin’s son Daniel died on Nov. 7, 2014 at the age of 49. Daniel Philbin died of natural causes. Daniel was born with a spinal cord defect that resulted in the amputation of both of his legs.

Daniel Philbin didn’t allow his disability to impede his goals, and he was a successful public affairs worker for the Pentagon. Danny had a rocky relationship with his father, and in 2008, Daniel’s wife publicly asked Regis for money to buy groceries.
