How Did Gerald and Kathy Crabb’s Divorce Affect Their Family?
As of July 2015, there is no official statement from any family members on how the divorce of Gerald and Kathy Crabb affected the Crabb family, but soon after the divorce the family separated into multiple ministries. The siblings chose to move in different directions by pursuing separate ministries.
A southern gospel group, The Crabb Family was founded by Gerald Crabb and Kathy Crabb. Gerald and Kathy were both divorced and had children from the previous marriage when they got married. Gerald had four children: Aaron, Adam, Jason and Terah. Kathy had two daughters: Krystal and Kelly.
The kids started singing along with their father and The Crabb Family was formed. Kathy Crabb acted was the owner and manager of the group. The group released numerous albums and won many awards.
Gerald and Kathy divorced in 2006, and no official reason has been cited for the divorce. Kathy claims in an interview with Pat Brannon, award-winning children’s author and Christian, that the divorce has not affected the family in any way. She says that the group professionally decided to take different paths, but they are still a family.
As of 2015, both Gerald and Kathy are married. Gerald is married to Debi Jackson. Kathy is married to Steve Hannah. After retirement from The Crabb Family in 2007, Kathy became a realtor in Nashville.
