What Are the Details of Dr. Sebi’s Alkaline Diet?

Dr. Sebi’s alkaline diet is a holistic approach to body cleansing that works on the premise that disease can only exist in an acidic environment. This organic, vegan, and largely raw foods diet claims to cleanse the body of sickness and disease.

Dr. Sebi, a native Honduran intracellular therapist and herbalist, begins his diet plan by splitting all food into six categories. Two of the six categories are raw foods and live foods, which are the two primary categories of the alkaline diet. These two categories are important foods in the diet that cleanse the body of toxins and potential diseases. These two types of foods also cleanse the body of dead foods, such as all meat, seafood and products containing yeast.

Due to the increase in consumption of fruits and vegetables and the decrease in red meats and poultry, the Dr. Sebi alkaline diet claims that the risk of heart disease, cancers or high blood pressure can decrease. Dr. Sebi’s alkaline diet requires a large intake of water daily to ensure the body is cleansing itself naturally as well. Dr. Sebi recommends that dieters do not use a microwave or consume any fruits without seeds or that are in a can.
