Some facts about QVC host David Venable include that David joined the channel as a program host in 1993, he has a hit show called “In the Kitchen with David,” and he loves to cook, as his passion is food. Further, David released a cookbook in October of 2012, and prior to joining QVC, he was a news reporter/anchor in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
David, known as QVC’s “resident foodie,” also has comprehensive knowledge of the food industry. He is credited with building QVC’s gourmet food sector into what it is today. “In the Kitchen with David” gives viewers an interactive experience, while the show features gourmet foods, kitchen gadgets, cookbooks and more. His cookbook, “In the Kitchen with David: Comfort Foods That Take You Home,” includes over 150 recipes that are not only easy to make but are also filling.
Also the primary host for other QVC programming, David first worked for WOAY-TV in Oak Hill, West Virginia, and WTAJ-TV in Altoona, Pennsylvania. In Altoona he also hosted a weekly public affairs show entitled “Action Newsmakers.” Additionally, David has hosted the Children’s Miracle Network telethon for four years.
David received his Bachelor’s degree in radio, television and motion pictures from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
