Last Updated Apr 17, 2020 6:59:28 AM ET
In the United States as of 2015, no daughter's week is officially recognized by either the government or the general public. Sons and Daughters Day, which is an unofficial holiday, generally falls on April 11.
Another officially recognized holiday is Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, which falls on the fourth Thursday in April. This holiday was created in 1993 by the Ms. Foundation for Women as a way for children to learn about the workplace. Initially only for girls, the holiday was originally called Take Our Daughters To Work Day, but was expanded in 2003 to include boys.
