The American television series produced for the Fox network was created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran and stars Kiefer Sutherland as Counter Terrorist Unit agent Jack Bauer. The show initially utilized a real-time method of narration where each episode in a 24-episode season covered an hour in the life of Jack Bauer. However, after previously announcing that the season eight finale would bring the series to a close, Fox resurrected the show in the form of “24: Live Another Day.” This incarnation of the show was a limited-event series of 12 episodes that featured the return of Jack Bauer to American television. Differing from the previous seasons, the show utilized forward jumps between hours to represent the 12 most important hours of a typical “24” season.
