How Do You Cook Pork Roast in a Crock-Pot?

To cook a pork roast in a Crock-Pot, rub it with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, place it fat side down in the Crock-Pot and cover it with 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar and 1 cup of water. Cook the roast on high for seven hours.

There are several recipes for cooking a pork roast in a Crock-Pot. You can also place the pork roast fat side down in a Crock-Pot and cover it with 1 cup of apple butter, 1 cup of unsweetened apple juice and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Cook the pork roast on high for six to eight hours and serve immediately.

A German-style recipe for a pork loin roast calls for peeling and slicing eight potatoes and two onions. Place the potatoes and onions in the Crock-Pot with the pork roast placed fat side down on top of the potatoes and onions. Pour a mixture of 3 cups of chicken broth, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper and 1 teaspoon of salt over the pork roast, then dust the top of the pork roast with 2 tablespoons of nutmeg. Cook the pork roast on high for seven to eight hours and serve immediately.
