Why Does My Computer Screen Turn Pink?
Last Updated Apr 2, 2020 8:09:29 AM ET
A pink screen appearing immediately after a computer monitor is turned on is a sign that the backlight has failed. Pink screens that occur intermittently while the computer is in use are often caused by a problem with settings associated with Nvidia graphics card drivers.
Users of computers with Nvidia graphics cards are advised to check the Nvidia control panel to confirm that the Stereoscopic 3D feature is disabled. This feature is often erroneously re-enabled when the drivers are updated. If the monitor does not support Stereoscopic 3D, the screen turns pink while the feature is activated. Disabling Stereoscopic 3D solves the issue.
