Common Samsung dryer problems include failure to start, failure to turn at all, stopping during a drying cycle and the dryer becoming too hot. Other common problems include the dryer making too much noise and failure to heat.

A Samsung dryer fails to start when there is a problem with the thermal fuse. When the thermal fuse is faulty, it fails to prevent the dryer’s fire from shutting off power during overheating. A faulty thermal fuse can also prevent the dryer from heating up to start the normal drying process. When this happens, the thermal fuse has to be replaced in order to solve the problem.

When the dryer’s belt breaks, the appliance fails to turn at all. Over time due to heavy usage of the dryer, the belt may naturally break, preventing the appliance from starting at all.

A Samsung dryer occasionally stops turning during a cycle. This is caused by failure of the support rollers to rotate freely. It also happens when the rollers are overloaded or too old. Sometimes, dryers become too hot in case of a defective heating system. If the heating elements short out, the dryer produces heat all the time. This causes the appliance to become too hot, even when the heat is not needed. Sometimes a dryer makes too much noise due to a damaged belt.
