What Color Complements Teal?

Browns and neutral tones are the most calming complementary colors for teal. Tones work best when kept similar – light brown pairs light teal, and dark brown goes dark teal. The more traditional color wheel complement for teal is coral.
Teal mixed with cream colors and whites create a relaxing, ocean-inspired feel. A mixture of a bold teal and a bold pink with gold accents provides a look closer to a primary color scheme of red/blue/yellow. If the teal color features more green tones than blue, pairing it with red creates a bold, modern look. A monochromatic color scheme that mixes teals with other blues and greys puts the focus on the brightest color in the palette.
