A collection of related web pages is called a website. It may contain words, pictures and other visual information that is accessible to the viewer.
A person can enter a website by using a web browser. Each website name usually begins with the prefix www, which stands for World Wide Web. The Web is where all active websites operate and online activity occurs. Different websites have different purposes and domains. For example, a website that ends with the domain .gov could be for a government agency. An organization would have the domain .org. A company website name would end with .com.
