Two Starbucks coffees that contain low amounts of acid are the Sumatra and Decaf Sumatra. These coffees, which stem from Indonesia, come in ground and whole bean varieties.
The Sumatra is a dark coffee with a bold taste. It features dried herbs, giving the coffee an earthy flavor. To brew the coffee, Starbucks recommends using fresh cold water and a clean machine. For a coffee press machine, use coarse grinds, and for an automatic drip machine, use medium grinds. For 2 tablespoons of coffee, use 6 ounces of water. Starbucks states that it ethically sources its coffee to provide a better economic environment for farmers.
