The most popular code to use to program a DIRECTV remote to work with a Samsung Blu-ray disc player is 20573. Other common codes that may work include 21075, 20820, 20899, 20490 and 20744.
To program the DIRECTV remote, first set the Mode Switch on the remote to AV 1. Next, press and hold both the “Mute” and the “Select” buttons until the LED on front end of the remote blinks twice. Enter the first five-digit code, and try operating the Blu-ray disc player with the remote. If it does not work, repeat the steps using the other codes until the remote successfully controls the Blu-ray player.
