How Do I Clear the History in My Samsung Galaxy S?

The Samsung Galaxy S collects a history of your web browsing activity to allow you to view all websites visited. According to Samsung, you can clear the browsing history and remove this list through the use of the included Internet browser. Within the browser, the “Settings”, “Privacy”, “Advanced” set of menus will allow you to access the Delete Personal Data option, and this will clear your browser history.

  1. Open the browser

    Start the browser by tapping the Internet shortcut icon located on the home screen of the Galaxy S. The Internet icon appears as a globe of the Earth towards the bottom of the screen. If the icon has been removed, click on the Apps icon, which is a box of squares on the home screen, and then tap Internet.

  2. Open the Browser menu

    Press the Menu icon on the opened browser screen located in the upper right hand side of the browser window. The icon is a series of three vertical dots in the corner of the browser. This will display a pull-down menu that includes the Settings option for the browser.

  3. Enter Settings menu

    Scroll down the list of options in the menu and select the Settings option by tapping on it.

  4. Open the Privacy menu

    Select the Privacy option under the Advanced section of the Settings menu.

  5. Clear history

    Tap the Delete Personal Data option in the Privacy menu. This will open up a pop-up menu with choices of data types to remove. Tap the box next to Browsing History and then select Done to completely remove the list of sites visited.
