How Do You Clean a Stainless Steel Watch Band?
There is no universal way to repair, clean or polish all stainless steel surfaces. However, the best homemade way to clean a stainless steel watch is with rubbing alcohol, a soft-bristled toothbrush, a lint-free cloth, white vinegar and baking soda.
Either remove the watch face or work around it if necessary. Soak the bracelet in water and dish soap or rubbing alcohol for a few minutes to a few hours. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to scrub between the links of the bracelet on both the inside and outside. Dry the bracelet with a lint-free cloth to eliminate the chance of fibers becoming stuck between the links.
People must use different methods for different finishes. These methods are not without risk, and the only safe way to clean a stainless steel watch is to send the watch to a jeweler, particularly if it is an expensive watch.
