What Is Classic MapQuest?

Classic MapQuest refers to the MapQuest website's former look and features before it underwent significant changes in 2008. One of the primary changes was to place a map on the search page, a feature that the original MapQuest didn't offer.
On classic MapQuest, it was more difficult to enter an address for search purposes because it required each element of the address, including the street address, city and zip code, to be entered separately. The revisions to classic MapQuest also gave more prominence to traffic information and local gasoline prices. The newer version of MapQuest also saves users' recent searches and provides more default locations.
