What Is a Class E Drivers License?

A Class E drivers license is a classification of license type given to people who drive vehicles that carry 14 passengers or less, or people who transport goods at work. This license allows a person to drive any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,000 pounds or less.
This rule is applicable to shuttle bus drivers, messengers, day-care-centers drivers, taxi drivers among others. A person must be 18 years old to apply for a class E license. Applicants must excel in both road sign and written test. One will also undergo a short vision screening. There is a fee associated with the application depending on the validity of the license.
