According to the DMV, in Missouri a class E drivers license is required for use of a vehicle for employment purposes. This includes receiving pay for a vehicle transporting 14 or more persons, or transporting items as a part time job.
The DMV classifies pizza or other food delivery jobs, taxi drivers, chauffeurs and shuttle bus drivers as a few of the jobs requiring a class E license. This license allows you to drive any vehicle with a gross weight vehicle rating of 26,000 pounds or less, which does not require a hazardous materials placard. Some restrictions include a minimum age of 18 as well as meeting the state's graduated "under 21 requirements" at the time of your application.
