A civil service exam consists of an oral test, written test, aptitude test, physical test and other tests for rating the training and experience of a person. This exam is required for all people who are seeking a civil service position.
Some of the groups that require the civil service exam include the postal service, air traffic control, customs, foreign service officers, law enforcement and others. All applicants are provided an equal opportunity to complete the test and are given a score depending on their performance. Only applicants that will rank high of the score register will be invited for an interview.
