Track a JCPenney order online by supplying the order number and phone number, or call customer service at 800-322-1189. Registered users can also check the status of an order by logging into the site using their email address and password.

Scroll to the bottom of any page on the JCPenney website, and click on Track My Order under the Customer Service heading. The next page asks for either the registered email address and password or the order number and the phone number that correlates with the order. After submitting this information, users can view details about their orders, such as shipping dates, tracking numbers and expected delivery dates.

By registering an account with, a user ensures that all of his order information is accessible in one location, eliminating the need to keep track of individual order numbers. As of 2015, registration is a quick process that requires a user to choose a password and supply his full name and email address. Registration enables users to store payment information for express checkout, link their JCPenney Rewards accounts and access account information from multiple devices. Users may also choose to sign up to receive coupons and advance notifications of sale events.
