Celebrities Who Look Better with Age
Everyone grows older. It’s an inevitable part of life — even for the rich and famous. Some celebrities indulge in expensive plastic surgery to help them look younger, while others accept the process and choose to age gracefully, relying on a good skincare routine, exercise, dieting or just plain genetics.
Some celebrities do such a great job of taking care of themselves, you might be surprised to learn they are in their 50s, 60s or even older. Some have certainly aged better than others, including these 30 stars who almost seem to be aging in reverse. Jealous of their timeless looks? Let’s take a look!
Winona Ryder, 48
Winona Ryder was a Hollywood icon in the 1980s. She starred in some of America’s favorite spooky films, including Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands. In the 2000s, she took an extended break from Hollywood. Upon her comeback in the Netflix original series, Stranger Things, fans were shocked to see she still looks great at 48.
Ryder said she loves that she’s growing older, and she noted she would never consider plastic surgery. People have told her to “fix her forehead.” She answers, “No! I’ve been waiting so long for that to happen!” She’s happy with her age.
Paul Rudd, 50
You might find it hard to believe that Paul Rudd is actually 50 years old. Fans love to joke about his appearance on social media, commenting that he doesn’t look like he has aged much since starring in Clueless when he was just 26 years old. How could he possibly be 50?
At a cast reunion of Clueless in 2019, Rudd remarked, “I’m 80 years old on the inside. In here, pure darkness. And a little moisturizer.” Well, whatever he is doing, he better not stop. It seems to be working in his favor.
Jennifer Aniston, 50
Jennifer Aniston looks like she hasn’t aged much since starring as Rachel Green on Friends. Now 50 years old, she still turns heads with her timeless, classic beauty. She doesn’t need plastic surgery. Her natural beauty is perfect.
Aniston currently impresses fans on the Apple TV+ original series The Morning Show. Fans have commented that it almost looks like Rachel Green left the fashion industry to start a career in television. If she was your news anchor, wouldn’t she be a lovely sight to watch in the morning?
Hugh Jackman, 51
Hugh Jackman perhaps learned how to stay young by playing Wolverine for close to 20 years. Now 51, he hasn’t aged much since he started playing the Marvel superhero in 2000. In fact, he seems to be aging in reverse, looking younger and younger as the years go by.
When he starred in 2017’s The Greatest Showman, Jackman won over even more fans with his impeccable talent. He seems to be able to play any type of character: superhero, romantic lead, dramatic lead, etc. No matter which role he chooses, he certainly has no trouble mesmerizing fans with his charm.
Lucy Liu, 51
You probably wouldn’t believe that Lucy Liu is 51 years old. She still looks the same as she did in 2000 when she starred in Charlie’s Angels. She now puts her killer looks to work starring in the CBS All Access series Why Women Kill.
Liu attributes her young appearance to wearing plenty of sunscreen over the years. She also has a strict healthy, organic diet. If that works for her, she shouldn’t stop. She has a shot at looking amazingly young when she’s in her 60s and 70s. If only the rest of us could look that good.
Julia Roberts, 52
Julia Roberts will always be a “pretty woman.” In fact, she doesn’t look like she has aged much since Pretty Woman premiered in 1990 shortly before and her other ’90s hits: My Best Friend’s Wedding, Notting Hill and Runaway Bride. She has a natural beauty and has vowed to never resort to plastic surgery.
The 52-year-old actress commented, “By Hollywood standards, I guess I’ve already taken a big risk in not having a facelift. But I’ve told Lancôme (a producer of French luxury perfumes and cosmetics) that I want to be an aging model.”
Halle Berry, 53
In 2003, Halle Berry was ranked No. 1 on People‘s list of “50 Most Beautiful People in the World.” As far as we’re concerned, she could still top the list in 2019. The 53-year-old actress hasn’t aged much over the past 20 years. What’s her secret? Diet and exercise.
Berry exercises for an hour and a half a day four days a week. She eats fresh, whole foods at least five times a day to maintain her blood sugar due to being diabetic. She closely monitors her health, and it seems to be working out quite well for her.
Cindy Crawford, 53
Does Cindy Crawford look like she’s 53 years old to you? You’re not alone if your answer is no. The star hasn’t aged much since she was an international supermodel in the 1990s. She can still effortlessly wear a bikini or ballgown on the runway.
Crawford shared that her secret is all about her cosmetics. She limits how much makeup she wears and even tweeted, “It can make you look older.” She started an anti-aging skincare line, Meaningful Beauty, and she swears by the Zone Diet. Keep up the good work, Cindy. It definitely works.
Sandra Bullock, 55
You might not believe this, but Sandra Bullock is 55 years old. No one can deny that she certainly looks much younger than her age. You would never guess her real number from her timeless, youthful appearance. To age gracefully without surgery, the actress uses an anti-aging cream.
In addition, she has a strict exercise plan. She works out six days a week with a personal trainer, Simone De La Rue. What’s her workout secret? She completes a combination of dance, strength-training, yoga and Pilates for an hour. Does that motivate you to try a similar exercise plan?
Jon Bon Jovi, 57
You — or maybe your mother — probably had a crush on Jon Bon Jovi in the 1980s. As the lead singer of the superstar band Bon Jovi, he sang many huge hits, including “It’s My Life” and “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
Well, it turns out living on a prayer worked out great for Bon Jovi. He hasn’t aged nearly as much as expected since the ’80s. Bon Jovi is now 57 years old, but you would never be able to guess his age if you attended one of his concerts. He’s still as lively as ever, and we’re definitely not complaining.
George Clooney, 58
George Clooney has made women swoon ever since he first starred on ER in 1994. His appearance hasn’t changed much in the past 25 years. He might have more gray hair now — although his hair was always prematurely gray — but the 58-year-old actor still looks fairly young.
We don’t expect his appearance to change anytime soon. Clooney, who was a bachelor for years before marrying Amal Alamuddin in 2014, is now a busy father to two-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander. Running after toddlers certainly keeps him on his toes and young at heart.
Michelle Pfeiffer, 61
Michelle Pfeiffer has always been considered beautiful. Now 61 years old, she has chosen to age naturally, and she looks glamorous while doing so. She exercises every day, which includes running four to six miles on a treadmill. She also follows a strict low-fat diet, which doesn’t contain wheat, dairy or sugar.
Additionally, Pfeiffer doesn’t wear much makeup in public. She has commented that she doesn’t like to wear a lot of color on her face. Instead, she lets her natural beauty glow, even when she’s walking on the red carpet.
Daniel Day-Lewis, 62
Daniel Day-Lewis might have gray hair, but he still looks as charming and handsome as he did in the 1990s. Now 62 years old, the British actor is one of the most widely respected actors of his generation. People love him, and they especially love his classy appearance.
Day-Lewis is now enjoying his retirement. Even though we probably won’t see him in any more movies — unless he changes his mind, of course — the actor seems to be in high spirits. He is aging gracefully and privately, and we’re happy with the results.
Bryan Cranston, 63
Bryan Cranston hasn’t aged much since he appeared as Dr. Tim Whatley in the hit sitcom Seinfeld. Perhaps he learned how to stay young while operating a meth lab as his character Walter White in the popular drama Breaking Bad. That had to be the trick, right?
Cranston, now 63 years old, looks happy and healthy as he chooses to age gracefully. He might have more wrinkles now than he did in the 1990s, but he has kept his youthful charm. We suspect he will only continue to age well.
Kevin Costner, 64
Like the other actors on this list, Kevin Costner’s appearance has stayed relatively the same since he starred in the 1990 drama Dances with Wolves. Yes, he has aged a little over the past 30 years, but his charming good looks have only gotten better with age.
Now 64 years old, Costner currently stars in the Paramount Network original series Yellowstone. His timeless appearance is perfect for the role, and he continues to charm audiences. It’s hard to believe the actor is in his 60s, and he will always remain young at heart to his fans.
Bruce Willis, 64
Bruce Willis might have a sixth sense for aging gracefully. The Die Hard and Sixth Sense star still looks the same as he did in the ’80s and ’90s — even with the addition of gray and balding hair. He’s your favorite tough guy who seems to always have a big heart.
Willis, now 64 years old, looks as handsome as ever. He continues to charm audiences, and we don’t expect that to change anytime soon. Hopefully, he will always look the same way he does now. He is just too gorgeous.
Denzel Washington, 64
Denzel Washington hasn’t aged a day since the 1990s. He has always appeared more mature than his age, which might explain why his looks haven’t changed much as he has grown older. Now 64 years old, Washington looks like he could still play the same roles that earned him international fame in the ’90s.
As far as most people are concerned, he is still one of the dreamiest actors to grace the film screen. Not only can he deliver a moving speech, but he looks passionate doing it. Hopefully, he will continue to age just as gracefully as he has up until now.
Dennis Quaid, 65
You might be thinking, “How in the world is Dennis Quaid 65 years old?” You’re not alone in your surprise. The actor still looks the same as he did when he starred as Nick Parker in the 1998 family film The Parent Trap. He won viewers’ hearts in that role, and he still does today.
Quaid has had an impressive film career, but fans are more enchanted by the actor’s heartwarming personality. He will always be a favorite with fans. Whatever he’s doing to stay young and healthy, let’s hope he keeps it up.
Christie Brinkley, 65
Christie Brinkley must have a secret potion for looking young and beautiful because she certainly doesn’t look like she is 65 years old. The international supermodel gained fame in the late 1970s as a Sports Illustrated cover girl, and she still turns heads on the red carpet today.
Brinkley credits her all-natural, vegan skincare routine for her anti-aging. In 2011, the mother-of-three launched her own skincare line, Christie Brinkley Skin Care. Now, the rest of us can try to look as great as the supermodel when we’re 65 years old.
Liam Neeson, 67
We’re certainly “taken” by Liam Neeson’s timeless appearance. The Taken and Schindler’s List star is now 67 years old, but he doesn’t look much different than he did when he was starring in his famous films. He might have more gray hair now, but his face has aged gracefully.
Neeson keeps himself busy acting in many projects, which perhaps helps him stay young. Maybe his work fills the void left by his late wife, actress Natasha Richardson. Neeson is aging at an impressive rate, and we will always be able to admire his eyes.
Michael Keaton, 68
The former Batman has learned a thing or two about preserving his youth over the years. Michael Keaton may have gray and balding hair, but his youthful smile and eyes are still quite noticeable. Now 68 years old, the actor has been in show business longer than many others, but you wouldn’t know it from his appearance.
Keaton keeps himself busy working on many film projects. He also enjoys sports, particularly hockey and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He supports animal rights and sponsors PETA. His philanthropic work is almost as impressive as his good looks.
Jane Seymour, 68
Jane Seymour perhaps learned how to stay young playing doctor Michaela Quinn on the popular 1990’s drama Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Before that, she was in the best shape of her life as a Bond Girl in 1973’s Live and Let Die.
Even though she suffered knee injuries in her late teens — ending her ballet career — Seymour has a strict fitness routine at 68 years old. She is frequently seen playing golf and tennis in between filming movies and television shows. She has certainly taught us how to age with class.
Sigourney Weaver, 70
Sigourney Weaver might just be a real-life alien because she certainly doesn’t look like she’s 70 years old. The Alien and Ghostbusters star has shared many stories about how she struggled with her looks in her childhood. She has nothing to worry about now. In fact, she has never had plastic surgery and looks amazing.
Weaver appreciates her natural beauty. She commented, “There’s nothing more inspiring to me than a woman in her 70s who’s full of life and still useful. I never notice age in people’s faces. I just look at the whole person.”
Meryl Streep, 70
There is simply no other actress like Meryl Streep. She dominates practically every film she appears in, and at age 70, she’s still one of the most beautiful stars of our era. The actress has reportedly never had plastic surgery, fully understanding the risks of what could go wrong.
Instead, Streep remains active. She swims at least four times a week, logging up to 55 laps per session. Her best advice for staying young comes down to attitude. She believes people need to “embrace” growing older because it’s inevitable. We like her philosophy.
Susan Sarandon, 73
Susan Sarandon is 73 years old, but she could easily pass for a woman in her 50s. She hasn’t aged much in the past 20 years, and her appearance hasn’t altered much since the 1980s. She said, “I keep thinking I’m younger, and I feel that inside!”
She added, “The secret — I mean, honestly, I think staying engaged and staying curious and having a good time is really a lot of it. I think that staying hydrated and not doing anything too extreme too.” Those are some good tips we need to follow.
Diane Keaton, 73
Diane Keaton still has the same quirky, lovely glow she had in the 1977 film Annie Hall. Now 73 years old, the star has certainly aged gracefully. She has stayed away from plastic surgery, and her witty sense of humor has kept her younger than her real age.
In fact, Keaton embodies her age. She doesn’t go under the knife. Instead, she allows her natural radiance to represent her. She has proven that it’s possible to age beautifully without altering your appearance. Hats off to her for inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.
Sally Field, 73
Sally Field might have been starred in The Flying Nun in her youth, but now she could star in a new series about a beautiful aging nun. At 73 years old, she seems almost frozen in time. Her appearance hasn’t changed much in the past 20 or 30 years. She still resembles a kid playing dress-up.
Field is a natural beauty. While she might have more wrinkles now than she did in the 1970s when she was in Smokey and the Bandit, her face has remained youthful. As she continues to age, we suspect she will continue to look the same.
Helen Mirren, 74
Helen Mirren is a Dame, and she certainly looks like one as well. The British actress played Queen Elizabeth II in the 2006 biopic The Queen. She has always radiated with natural beauty. Now at 74 years old, she looks as charming and classy as ever.
Mirren is currently playing another queen in the HBO original series Catherine the Great. Queens are historically gorgeous and sophisticated, and this is also true of Mirren. She has aged gracefully, and she credits her daily walks with her dogs as a reason for her good health.
Jane Fonda, 81
It shouldn’t be surprising that Jane Fonda has stayed fit and young over the years. Her workout book and videos — a combination of high-intensity aerobics paired with leotards and leg warmers — were a smash hit in the 1980s. The former fitness guru, now 81, has maintained her healthy lifestyle.
Fonda takes a long walk every day, and she has become a fan of resistance training, yoga and cross-country skiing. She commented, “The most important thing is to keep moving, to stay active. That’s what I do, and that’s how I stay strong.”
Robert Redford, 83
In the 1970s, Robert Redford was one of the dreamiest and most handsome actors in Hollywood. Now at 83 years old, Redford still has those same classic facial features that attracted the ladies in droves. He has gray hair and more wrinkles now, but his charming, irresistible eyes and smile are still present.
Redford loves his age. He commented, “You become more philosophical, and when you become more philosophical, it allows you to look back on things and see them with a certain perspective that you didn’t have.” He will always be a heartthrob to all of us.
