Does Carotid Artery Disease Cause Neck Pain?

Neck pain is not a common symptom of carotid artery disease, according to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute's list of symptoms. Warning signs of the disease include a bruit, or a whooshing sound that a doctor can hear with a stethoscope, a transient ischemic attack or a stroke.
