All canned foods are considered to have an unlimited shelf life by the FDA Although not required, manufacturers include use-by dates to indicate until what time a product is considered to be at its peak quality. Discard any cans if they have been exposed to freezing temperatures or temperatures exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
