The easiest way to find your ring size is to go to a jeweler, and have her measure it. To determine your ring size yourself, use a piece of string or paper and a ruler to measure the circumference of your finger, and then find the measurement on a sizing chart.
- Get a length of string or a thin strip of paper and a ruler
Cut the string to about 6 inches in length. If using paper, cut the strip about 6 inches long by about 1/2-inch wide.
- Measure your finger's circumference
Wrap the string or paper around the base of your finger, using one end of the string or paper as a starting point. Mark the point of overlap with a pen or permanent marker, and use the ruler to measure the length in millimeters.
- Compare your measurement to a sizing chart
Search online for a ring sizing chart. Different countries use different sizes, so make sure the chart has the appropriate information. Typically, the chart has finger circumference, in millimeters, in one column and rings sizes in another column. Find your measurement in the chart to determine your ring size.
