Mattel.com provides the official rules for playing Uno. To locate the instructions, click on Customer Service on the top right of the home page, and choose Instruction Sheets. Enter Uno in the search field, select the game, and click the link for the instruction sheet to download a PDF file.
Mattel makes many different versions of the Uno card game, but themes featuring movie or TV characters do not affect the rules of the game. Uno features cards that are either blue, green, red or yellow. In addition to cards numbered zero through nine in each color, there are also action cards with instructions to reverse the direction of the game, draw two or skip the next player, plus a wild card and a draw four wild card.
