Namebase.org allows you to search for the spelling of names by either just the last name, or the last name followed by the first name for specific individuals. The first box is for names with an unknown spelling, while the second is for the correct spelling.
Namebase.org’s database includes individuals, corporations and groups. To search in the first box for names you do not know how to spell, place a question mark after the first few letters that you are certain the name contains, and the website will search based on the given criteria; for example, “Jo?, Ralph” will yield Johnson, Ralph, and Jones, Ralph.
