Global Positioning System or GPS signals are blocked by using GPS jamming gadgets, metal shields, GPS spoofing gadgets and mobile phone jammers. It is easier to block the signal of a GPS satellite compared to the transmitted signal of a GPS receiver.

GPS is an interconnected network of satellites that revolves around the Earth. These satellites relay positional information by transmitting signals to a GPS receiver using a method called trilateration.

Some devices or materials can be used to block GPS signals. GPS jamming gadgets are widely available on the Internet. Metal shields can be used to wrap around the GPS receiver, while spoofing gadgets can transmit fake radio signals. Mobile phone jammers can be used to disrupt the real-time tracking report of GPS receivers.
