Can Epoxy Be Used to Repair Dentures?

Epoxy may be used to repair dentures that have been broken into two or more pieces. For dentures that have merely been chipped, super glue is often a better choice.

When using epoxy to fix broken dentures, one must make sure that the pieces of the dentures are clean and dry. Everything should be laid out and prepared before the epoxy is mixed, since epoxy hardens very quickly.

The two components of the epoxy should be mixed on a clean, disposable surface. Next, the epoxy should be applied in a thin layer to the broken edges of the dentures. The parts of the dentures covered in epoxy should be held together for at least five minutes while the epoxy dries. After the epoxy is fully hardened and dried, the dentures should be thoroughly washed before they are worn.
