Make a paper funnel
Tear off three 1-inch pieces of tape, and set them aside. Take a letter-sized piece of paper, and lay it on a flat surface. Fold the paper horizontally to make a funnel shape. Grab the reserved pieces of tape, and secure the edges of the paper to create a funnel.

Set up the gnat trap
Place the paper funnel on the top of the glass. Make sure the end of the funnel does not touch the liquid to ensure that gnats are unable to climb out. Place the gnat trap where gnats are present, and replace the vinegar and dish soap solution every two days.
