Third-party apps are required to archive and retrieve messages. Android’s built-in text messaging app does not include a function to archive messages for future retrieval. To retrieve a deleted message from Android’s stock text messaging app, use third-party software such as Android Data Recovery immediately. These deleted messages are only recoverable for a short time.
