Students can take Accelerated Reader (AR) sample quizzes on the product’s official website, Renaissance Learning. Alternatively, students enrolled in AR programs can take AR quizzes at school via the school website or an iPad app.

The sample quizzes page of the Renaissance Learning website offers Reading Practice Quizzes, quizzes for early readers, Recorded Voice Quizzes, Vocabulary Practice Quizzes and Literacy Skills Quizzes. Quizzes for beginner readers cover titles such as “Clifford’s First Christmas” and “Biscuit and the Lost Teddy Bear.” Other sample quizzes focus on more advanced reading, such as “Tom Sawyer” and “Of Mice and Men.” Many of the quizzes are offered in both English and Spanish versions.

At Plew Elementary School in Florida, students log in to the AR program to take AR Reading Practice quizzes after they complete a book. Quizzes focus on how well students comprehend the information they have read. They earn points based on how they performed on the test, which helps determine their reading level. At Plew and other elementary schools, AR quizzes and tests must be taken at the school during school hours.

According to the U.K. Renaissance Learning website, AR offers more than 25,000 reading quizzes. They include quizzes on a broad range of fiction and non-fiction books.
