Can Apple Cider Vinegar Remove Warts?

Dr. Mercola asserts that apple cider vinegar is highly acidic, but there is no research to support its use as a home remedy for warts. The Mayo Clinic identifies salicylic acid as a common treatment and does not identify apple cider vinegar as a potential home treatment.

Apple cider vinegar’s acidic nature has provided some people success in using this product as a plantar wart remedy. Ruth Almon shows the progress of her experience with the apple cider vinegar wart treatment. She describes the growing sensitivity, and eventual sloughing off, of her wart after keeping an apple cider vinegar soaked bandage on the wart for about nine days. There is some risk in harming the healthy skin around the wart due to the highly acidic nature of apple cider vinegar.
