How Can I Find an Address From a Phone Number?
An address can be found by looking up a phone number in a reverse telephone directory. At one point in time, reverse telephone directories were only available to real estate agents and other licensed professionals, but today they are available online to the public. There are free reverse directory sites as well as reverse directory sites that charge a fee per search.
When using an online reverse directory, simply enter the telephone number into the provided field. The reverse address lookup tool automatically searches thousands of records associated with that telephone number. Once the address is found, the search engine either displays the address on the screen or a prompt appears, asking for credit card information.
Hard-copy reverse directories are easy to use as well. They are designed similar to a phone directory, with the main difference being that the phone numbers are listed in the area where the names are listed in a standard directory. Once the phone number is located, the corresponding address is listed to the right.
Reverse directories allow quick access to an address, but there are certain cases in which the address is not available to the public; unlisted addresses are not available in reverse or standard directories.
