Access to MyWorkplace.State.Pa.US is given to state employees in Pennsylvania after their first day of work. The Pennsylvania HR Service Center’s website has a PDF document detailing how to access the system referred to as ESS, or the Employee Self-Service site.
The PDF document is titled Employee Self-Service and describes services available on the system. Users are able to manage personal profiles and payroll options, schedule leave, and manage some of their benefits. In keeping with an employee’s agency policy, access to some parts of ESS are restricted to their working hours. This includes such work-related tasks as managing work flow items, handling purchase orders, and entering time worked in the schedule system.
