Brendan Shanahan’s wife is Catherine Janney. They have been married since July 4, 1998 and have three children together. She is the ex-wife of Craig Janney, Shanahan’s former teammate with the St. Louis Blues.
Brendan Shanahan played professional hockey in the NHL. He was drafted second overall in the first round of the 1987 draft by the New Jersey Devils. He played for several teams including the St. Louis Blues, Hartford Whalers, New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils, but spent most of his career playing for the Detroit Red Wings, helping them to win three Stanley Cups. Shanahan retired from the NHL in 2009.
