What Brands Make 32 Inch Wide Refrigerators?

As of 2015, GE, Kenmore, Whirlpool and Samsung manufacture refrigerators between 32.13 and 32.75 inches wide that are designed for a 33-inch-wide space. GE also produces 31.5-inch models. Refrigerators in this size range are typically bottom-freezer, side-by-side or French door styles, but Whirlpool carries top-freezer models.

The majority of 32-inch wide refrigerators offer medium to large storage capacity with interior measurements ranging from 22 to 26 cubic feet. The 31.5-inch models offer about 20 cubic inches of interior space. Prices typically range from $1,300 to $2,000, but Samsung models of this size feature high-end design and pricing in the $2,900 to $3,200 range, as of March 2015. All of the previously mentioned brands offer refrigerators in at least three finishes: stainless steel, white and black. Kenmore, GE and Whirlpool manufacture additional colors, including biscuit, slate and bisque.

An exterior or interior ice dispenser is standard on most 32-inch GE and Samsung refrigerators, but having an internal mechanism limits door space on some models. Owners who frequently entertain guests may appreciate the full-width pantry drawer offered on many Kenmore, Whirlpool and Samsung bottom-freezer models, allowing them to store large party trays separately from other foods. Shoppers who value freezer space may prefer side-by-side or bottom-freezer units, which provide about one cubic foot of extra capacity, compared to similar top-freezer models.
