Despite sharing a last name, Bob Sapp and Warren Sapp are not brothers. A former defensive end, Warren Sapp played in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons and was named to seven Pro Bowl teams. Bob Sapp is a former professional wrestler, mixed martial artist and kickboxer.
Like Warren Sapp, Bob Sapp had dreams of playing in the NFL. After being drafted and released by the Chicago Bears, he spent two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before switching to professional wrestling. Known as “The Beast,” Bob Sapp became a celebrity in Japan after fighting for the K-1 kickboxing promotion, and he participated in several MMA fights as well. He retired with a combined fight record of 22-35-1.
