What Does “biblical Grace” Mean?

Grace, used in its biblical sense, means the favor and goodness that God shows to mankind. The word can be used generally to describe everything that God does, or to refer to specific acts of God.

When the Bible talks about a good, kind or merciful act of God, it is talking about God’s grace. The word is also frequently associated with the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which is considered to be the supreme act of mercy toward mankind, allowing Christ to take the punishment for man’s sins so that he can return to Heaven to live with God for eternity.
