What Is Amazon Prime?

Amazon Prime is a paid program offered by Amazon.com that provides several services and benefits to members. Amazon Prime services include free two-day shipping on eligible purchases and access to the Prime Instant Video and Kindle Owners’ Lending Library services.

Amazon Prime members get unlimited access to all included membership services for a flat annual fee. Some Amazon.com products are not eligible for free two-day shipping. In such cases, free standard shipping service is included instead, which typically takes three to six business days depending on the product and destination. When free two-day shipping is available for a product, most Amazon Prime members have the option to upgrade to one-day shipping for an additional discounted fee.
