In 1990, a made-for-TV movie called “Too Young to Die?” aired on television. Juliette Lewis played the role of Amanda Sue Bradley, a teenager accused of kidnapping, robbery and murder. The character was based on a teenage girl named Attina Marie Cannaday.
Cannaday was charged and convicted for the murder of Ronald Wojcik, a sergeant in the United States Air Force, when she was 16 years old. She was initially sentenced to death by lethal injection in the state of Mississippi. Her accomplice, David Gray, was also sentenced to death. Both of their sentences were reversed and converted to life sentences. Cannaday was released on parole on March 9, 2008.
