According to Rush University Medical Center, a person who is 5 feet tall should weigh between 97 and 123 pounds to be considered healthy by the National Institutes of Health. This value is based on a Body Mass Index of between 19 and 24.

According to Rush University Medical Center, a person who is 5 feet in height is overweight if he weighs between 128 and 148 pounds. At the same height, an obese person weighs between 153 and 199 pounds.

According to the National Institutes of Health, people with a BMI between 25.0 and 29.9 are considered overweight, while those with a BMI greater than 30 are obese. A person with a BMI below 18.5 is considered underweight by the National Institutes of Health.
