The standard air bags on the 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck are located in the steering wheel, dashboard and the sides of the driver and passenger seats. Additional Safety Canopy airbags are located under the headliner above the truck’s front doors. Other trims and model years may have different configurations.
The Ford Safety Canopy System is an overhead air bag system designed to provide additional protection in the event of a side impact or rollover event. The inclusion of these air bags is especially beneficial for pickup trucks such as the F-150, as trucks have a higher incidence of rollover accidents compared to cars.
