How Do You Adjust a TaylorMade Driver?
According to Tom Kroll, Global Product Manager for TaylorMade, you can adjust your TaylorMade driver’s loft face angle and shot shape by using the driver wrench to configure the driver to your precise specifications.
Adjust the loft of your TaylorMade driver to maximize your driving distance and spin by using the driver wrench to loosen the screw directly beneath the club’s shaft. Once the screw is removed, rotate the shaft to the appropriate setting by reading the numbers on the bottom of the shaft. You can adjust the loft to varying degrees between 8 and 12. Once selected, slide the shaft back into the driver head and tighten the screw on the bottom of the club.
To adjust the face angle, loosen the screw on the bottom of the club head and rotate the dial. Choose among the 7 face positions on the dial to achieve your optimal face angle setting. Once you have selected the face angle that suits your address eye best, tighten the screw on the bottom of the club head.
To adjust the shot shape, remove the shot shape weight located on the heel of the club head as well as the weight located on the toe of the club head. Place the heavier of the two weights into the toe end of the club to promote a neutral flight of your shots. For a draw effect on your club shots, place the heavier weight into the heel of the club. Tighten the weights with the driver wrench until you hear an audible click.
