The WWE Network cannot be accessed on Verizon Fios, satellite television or through a cable provider. Instead, the WWE Network is a subscription based Internet streaming service available through smart TVs, smartphones and other iOS devices, Roku streaming devices, gaming consoles, and computers.
WWE compares its business model to those of Hulu or Netflix, with the addition of 24/7 programming similar in structure to a traditional television channel. Highlights of the programming offered include every live WWE pay-per-view event, an extensive backlog of WWF, WCW, ECW and WWE programming, historical retrospectives and behind-the-scenes footage. The viewer must download the WWE app to view the WWE Network on some compatible devices. An Internet connection is required to watch the WWE Network.
