Who Accepts the Military Star Card?

Military Star cards are accepted at Army and Air Force exchanges, Marine Corps exchanges, Navy exchanges, Coast Guard exchanges, and exchange catalogs. Additionally, online sites associated with military exchanges also accept these cards. The Military Star Rewards MasterCard is welcomed at any civilian outlet that accepts standard MasterCard.

Military Star cards are offered by the Exchange Credit Program, which uses a portion of the fees to help finance Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs. Available to active duty, retired and reserve military personnel, they offer no annual fees, low interest rates, special lines of credit to purchase military clothing and special benefits during deployment. For Military Star card eligibility, applicants must be members of any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, have a Common Access Card or military ID, and keep good credit ratings.

At military base exchanges and on-base facilities, the card operates as a Military Star card; however, off-base it operates as a standard MasterCard credit card.

The Military Star Rewards MasterCard, operated through Chase Bank, offers reward points for all purchases made with the card. The points are redeemable for gift cards, cash back, airline travel miles and other benefits. Purchases with a Military Star Rewards MasterCard support MWR Programs, whether they are made on-base or off-base.
