The 65th wedding anniversary is commonly referred to as the “sky blue anniversary.” Unlike some of the other major anniversaries, the 65th anniversary does not have a true designated name.

If a married couple lives in the United Kingdom, the couple can receive a congratulatory message from Buckingham Palace on their 65th wedding anniversary. In the U.S., couples can receive a greeting from the President on any anniversary after the 50th. One of the major celebrations in the U.S. is the 60th wedding anniversary, which is referred to as the “diamond anniversary.” Anniversaries were traditionally named to give spouses an idea of what types of gifts to give to each other. The 30th anniversary is commonly known as the “pearl,” while the 50th is the “golden anniversary.”
