A 3.67 GPA is equal to an "A" letter grade or being in the 91st or 92nd percentile. GPA stands for "grade point average" and represents the average grade of all the coursework a student has completed.
GPAs range from 0.0 to 4.0. F-level work is represented by the range 0.0 through 0.4. D-level work corresponds to 0.5 though 1.4. C-level work is covered by 1.5 through 2.4, and B-level work corresponds to 2.5 through 3.4. A-level work earns a 3.5 to 4.0. Some teachers grade on a four-point scale to facilitate working with the GPA system. Other teachers use traditional letter or percentile grades that are later converted to GPA equivalents.
